Osundairo Brothers’ Pressured/Splintering Cooperation

On June 24th, 2020, in the midst of the Black Lives Matter movements in the streets of America, the media first broadly reported that the Osundairo brothers are “cooperating” with the Chicago Police Department, basically as the cops’ main witnesses in CPD’s claims against Jussie Smollett.

When the brothers threatened to pull out of the arrangement, media sources made the following statements:

“Erickson said if the brothers went into court and refused to testify during trial, there was nothing stopping the judge from holding them in contempt and nothing stopping prosecutors for charging them for their admitted role in what authorities say was a staged attack.”

The next day, the brothers announced they would continue their “cooperation” with CPD.

It is unclear whether the Osundairo brothers will actually go through with this charade, when the level of police misconduct CPD documented in their own records on this case, and the level of misconduct that happened during the interrogation of the Osundairo brothers, and the midnight breaking in, raiding, and trashing of the Osundairo family home, points to something other than “cooperation” here.

But – we know they are the lynchpin of CPD’s claims here, and in fact they themselves are really CPD’s only evidence of a supposed hoax, and so we know the pressure on the Osundairos to play the “cooperating” role is immense.  But still, it remains unclear whether the Osundairo brothers will actually go through with this charade because they seem to be chafing at the close relationship with CPD, among other things.

Just about two weeks before changing their minds twice about cooperating, on June 14th, 2020, Ola Osundairo was arrested again. This time for speeding 81 MPH in a 45 MPH zone.

According to TMZ, Ola denies going over the speed limit and the police report claims he said something along the lines of “don’t you know who I am?” which he denies saying. The recent public developments between the Osundairo’s and CPD seem to strongly suggest their initial cooperation was coerced and they are forced to continue to cooperate or will be charged. Several signs (including a video tape showing their lawyer coaching Ola on what to say) point to them being forced to go along with this story to save themselves which makes the whole case fall apart.

CPD’s entire case relies on coerced testimony.
